World Space Week Expo

Join Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in participating in this year's World Space Week, which is celebrating "Space and Climate Change." On Friday, October 11, step into the bottom floor of Space Shuttle Atlantis® to engage with NASA's space and industry partners. Hear about how they're helping change the world as we know it. Plus, enjoy special presentations, vibrant displays, and educational hands-on activities with the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Education Team.

Special Presentation:

The visitor complex also welcomes Astronaut Scholarship Foundation’s Caleb Keaveney to share his presentation on “The Shrinking Red Dot of Jupiter” in Journey To Mars launched by United Launch Alliance.

Keaveney is a Ph.D. student in Earth & Planetary Sciences at Yale University studying extreme weather and climate on giant planets. He graduated from North Carolina State University in 2023 with degrees in Meteorology and Applied Mathematics, receiving the Astronaut Scholarship and Goldwater Scholarship in 2022. His recently published undergraduate work on the evolution of Jupiter's Great Red Spot has been featured in international media, including Forbes, the BBC, and Nautilus Magazine. Having previously interned on the Juno mission at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Caleb plans to be involved in human and spacecraft exploration of the solar system throughout his career.
