Celebrate International Women’s Month at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex! Starting on International Women’s Day and continuing through Women’s History Month, hear from women working toward advancing space technology.
Presentations will begin at 11:30 AM inside Journey To Mars.

Ruth Nichols

Women in Space & STEM: The Next Generation
Ruth Nichols is a senior at the Florida Institute of Technology, double majoring in Astrobiology and Mathematical Sciences. She is a 2022 and 2023 Astronaut Scholar, a Zed Factor Fellow, and an analog astronaut. Ruth is passionate about space agriculture and bioastronautics, the study of humans in space.

Women in Space & STEM: The Next Generation
Karly is a senior at Florida Institute of Technology, majoring in biomedical engineering with minors in nanotechnology and chemistry and is a 2023 Astronaut Scholar. She is also a captain of Florida Tech's NCAA DII women's lacrosse team and is involved in multiple student organizations. She will pursue her PhD and aspires to work in drug development for space applications.
