Located to the left when approaching Space Shuttle Atlantis®
- Included with admission to the visitor complex
- Approximately 7.5 miles / 12 kilometers from the launch pad
- See the rocket when it clears the tree line
- Viewing area opens at 4:30 PM and will remain open until launch occurs or until 7:00 PM. If launch has not occurred by 7:00 PM, the viewing area will close due to visitor complex operating hours.
- Enjoy bleacher seating, live launch audio and video coverage, and visitor complex Subject Matter Expert commentary.
MISSION:
The Satria communications satellite will launch atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket for the Indonesian government and PSN, an Indonesian satellite operator. This satellite will provide broadband internet and communications capability for public use facilities in Indonesia’s rural regions. The launch window will open at 6:04 PM ET and lasts approximately 3 hours.
