MISSION:
A United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket will launch the USSF-12 mission with Wide Field Of View, or WFOV, experimental missile warning satellite for the U.S. Space Force. WFOV hosts a new type of infrared staring sensor in geosynchronous orbit to detect the heat from missile launch plumes. The USSF-12 mission will include additional rideshare payloads.

LC-39 Observation Gantry
$49 in addition to daily admission
- See the rocket leave the launch pad
- Additional Launch Transportation Ticket (LTT) required in addition to valid daily admission ticket
- Approximately 2.3 miles / 3.7 kilometers from launch pad
- Buses will board at engine-end of Saturn 1B rocket in the Rocket Garden at 4:15 PM
- Launch audio, video, and communicator commentary available
- Includes light snack and souvenir (redeemed at LC-39 viewing site)
Atlantis North Lawn
Located to the left when approaching Space Shuttle Atlantis®
- See the rocket once it clears the tree line
- Approximately 7.1 miles / 11.4 kilometers from the launch pad
- Viewing area opens at 4:00 PM
- Included with admission to visitor complex
- Launch audio, video, and communicator commentary available
Important Information:
- Plan to arrive early! Kennedy Space Center experiences increased traffic on launch days, and there is construction on SR 405/NASA Causeway and SR 3/Courtenay Parkway resulting in lower speed limits and lane closures. Allow extra time for single-lane roads leading up to the visitor complex.
- Most visitor complex attractions and exhibits will close at 6:00 PM, with the exception of Space Shuttle Atlantis. Guests viewing the launch may remain at the visitor complex until the launch or a scrub.
