Mike Foreman

Captain Mike Foreman is a retired Naval Aviator. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering in 1979 and later graduated from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School with a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He is also a Navy Test Pilot School graduate with over 7,500 hours of flight time in more than 50 different types of aircraft. He was selected to the NASA astronaut program in 1998 and spent over 637 hours in space during two space shuttle missions, STS-123 and STS-129. While in space, he performed 5 spacewalks for a total of 32 hours and 19 minutes outside the space vehicles helping to build the International Space Station.
After 17 years as an astronaut, Mike left NASA in 2015 to join Venturi Outcomes, LLC, a Houston-based consulting firm. After retiring from Venturi, Mike was elected and currently serves as the mayor of Friendswood, Texas.
