Cashless Procedures and FAQs
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is transitioning to a cashless operation beginning January 6, 2025. Cash will no longer be accepted at the registers throughout the visitor complex, but should you arrive with only cash, we have made it easy to convert it to a usable MasterCard.
Guests may continue to use their credit card, debit card, or smart device with Apple Pay or Google Pay to make payments throughout the visitor complex. If you don’t have a payment card, stop by one of our Cash-to-Card kiosks located throughout the visitor complex and Apollo/Saturn V Center to transfer your cash onto a MasterCard prepaid debit card that can be used anywhere MasterCard is accepted. There is no cost to use this service.

Cashless transactions are safer and faster than cash transactions. We have decided to go cashless in an effort to create a more secure process that gets you on your way faster.
Is there a fee to use the Cash-to-Card kiosk?
No, you will not be charged a fee to transfer your cash to a card, nor will you incur a fee when you use it for payment. If you use the card regularly, you will not incur any fees. However, after 92 consecutive days of keeping a balance with no transactions, you will be charged $3.95 per month by the card issuer. This fee is not issued by the visitor complex.
What types of payments are accepted at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex?
We accept American Express, Discover, Mastercard, Visa, and Diners Club credit cards and most debit cards, as well as Apple Pay. This now includes the Mastercard prepaid debit card obtained when you convert your cash to card.

This may be in the form of another card, or you can load additional cash onto a new prepaid debit card. You will NOT be charged any penalties or fees if you run out of funds mid-transaction.
What if I still have funds on my card when I leave Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex?
