Tour Kennedy Space Center With an Astronaut Guide
Take an exclusive tour of NASA’s John F. Kennedy Space Center with a veteran NASA astronaut as your guide. Join a small group to explore the birthplace of America’s space program and visit iconic sites by motor coach. Then, tour Space Shuttle Atlantis®, blast off on Shuttle Launch Experience®, and enjoy a private catered lunch with the astronaut.
The Fly With an Astronaut Experience:
- Gather at the entrance to Heroes and Legends at 9:15 AM for a preflight briefing, and then the countdown to exploration begins. Enter Heroes and Legends to meet your private tour guide, the veteran NASA astronaut.
- Once you get to know the pioneering astronauts of the early space program, your group will board a private bus to tour behind NASA’s gates, seeing operational spaceflight facilities and launch pads.
- Then, you will be taken back to the visitor complex to enjoy a catered lunch with your astronaut guide. During this time, the astronaut will share his or her personal accounts and experiences. Bring your questions as there will be time to ask them after their presentation.
- Next, enter Space Shuttle Atlantis for a guided tour of this American icon, and board the Shuttle Launch Experience to feel what it’s like to launch into space on a space shuttle! Please note the Shuttle Launch Experience has a minimum height requirement of 44 inches.
- At the end of the tour, approximately 2:15 PM, you are welcome to tour the Apollo/Saturn V Center on your own by taking the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour.
Fly With An Astronaut is typically offered one weekend a month. Check the Event Calendar or the link below for all upcoming dates.
This experience includes a one-day admission ticket in the pricing. There is no need to purchase a separate admission ticket.

- Annual passholder discounts for Fly With An Astronaut tickets are only available by calling the Reservations Department at 855.456.6597
- Tour is scheduled from 9:15 AM to approximately 2:15 PM.
- Space is limited to 43 participants.
- Guests will receive a special pin to commemorate their experience!
- This tour may not be suitable for young children due to the length of the tour. Minors must be accompanied by a participating, paying adult over the age of 18.
