Apollo 11 launched on July 16, 1969, landed on the Moon July 20, and returned to Earth on July 24. This summer, we commemorate that historic journey — and the next giant leap — with a weekend full of immersive experiences, vintage flair, and space-age inspiration.
From July 18–20, relive the excitement of 1969 and look ahead to the future of lunar exploration during Moon Fest 2025, a celebration of the 56th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing.
Weekend Highlights:
- Vintage Photo Ops: Capture the moment in your best vintage attire with themed photo stations throughout the complex
- Live Performances: Enjoy music by The Vocalitas, a swing-era and mid-century acappella group
- Interactive Activities in Atlantis: Create your own Orion splashdown capsule, design tin foil hats, and color your way through space history
- Lunar Rover Photo Ops: Snap a picture with the lunar rover at the Apollo/Saturn V Center
- Comedy with Astro & Orbit: Catch this space-themed duo at the People’s Moon installation at 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm, and 2:30pm
