MISSION

SpaceX is scheduled to launch the 29th mission of the constellation of networked satellites known as Starlink. The goal of Starlink is to create a network helping provide internet services to those who are not yet connected, and to provide reliable and affordable internet across the globe. The network is currently available in parts of North America with the goal of being globally available in late 2021 or 2022. Currently, over 1600 Starlink internet satellites are in orbit.


LAUNCH VIEWING

Witness liftoff from one of three launch viewing areas:

BANANA CREEK LAUNCH VIEWING AREA, located adjacent to the Apollo/Saturn V Center:

  • Approximately 6.2 miles/10 kilometers from launch pad.
  • $20, in addition to admission.
  • Includes reserved bleacher seating, launch commentary, and access to the Apollo/Saturn V Center.
  • The Banana Creek Launch Viewing Area bleachers open at 12:15 PM. Select your bus boarding time while purchasing tickets. On-site bus transportation reservations are not required or suggested.
  • Review the Scrub Policy.

APOLLO/SATURN V CENTER LAWN:

  • Approximately 6.2 miles/10 kilometers from launch pad.
  • Requires a complimentary transportation reservation with a departure time prior to the launch, in addition to admission. Reservations can only be made on-site for the same day. Only a limited number of reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Includes reserved bleacher seating, launch commentary, and access to the Apollo/Saturn V Center.
  • Access to the Banana Creek viewing area is not included.
  • The Apollo/Saturn V Center Lawn opens at 10:00 AM.
  • BUY ADMISSION

NORTH ATLANTIS LAWN:

  • Approximately 6.7 miles/10.8 kilometers from launch pad.
  • Includes bleacher seating and launch commentary included with admission.
  • The North Atlantis Lawn opens at 1:00 PM with the launch video feed.
  • BUY ADMISSION

The visitor complex will open at 10:00 AM. Arrive early and prepare for increased attendance and traffic on launch days. The available bleacher seating is first come, first served. Please note that launch viewing tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. Launch date, time, and viewing opportunities are subject to change.

As part of our commitment to creating a Trusted Space for our guests and employees, measures and procedures are in place including limiting attendance, requiring face coverings, accommodating social distancing and increasing the frequency of sanitization.

Availability of upcoming viewing opportunities is dependent upon the scheduled launch time and is subject to NASA and U.S. Air Force approval. Launch date, time, and viewing opportunities are subject to change. Launches can be affected by technical and mechanical issues as well as range operations and weather, either in advance or at the last minute.
