Professional (Full Time Salaried)
Catering Manager: Candidate should be able to implement an effective, creative catering program as well as be responsible and accountable for all catered functions. Manage the day to day operations of the Catering Department. Have knowledge of maintaining high standards of food quality production, as well as presentation and service of food and beverages. Ensure health and sanitation standards are maintained.
Post Secondary Education required. Three to five years of Banquets background and prior hospitality experience and five or more years of experience in a Leadership role required. Candidate must be able to review all written communication, i.e., resumes, and Banquet Event Orders to determine appropriate staffing levels, room/station assignments, banquets and meeting room set-ups. Must have strong communication skills to be able to effectively implement all changes and make adjustments according to the above items and communicate information to the kitchen and other supportive departments prior to and during events. Candidate is responsible for maintaining a strong client relationship and ensuring that all events specifications are communicated to and executed by all operating departments. Other responsibilities include ownership for the appropriate and timely set up of all functions and meetings while maintaining standards of food. This position requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
