ATX Family

Explore the final frontier together during Family Astronaut Training Experience (ATX) at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

Mult-Axis Trainer

Your family will spend a half-day immersed in astronaut training, riding realistic simulators and building and launching your own rockets. You will meet a veteran NASA astronaut and work together to perform a space shuttle mission to the International Space Station in a full-scale orbiter mock-up and fully outfitted mission control facility.

Ages: 7 and older
Price: $145 (plus tax) per participant

  • Spaceflight Training Simulators
  • Air Rocket Launch
  • Full Scale Space Shuttle Mission Simulation
  • ATX Gear (T-Shirt and Cap included)

ATX Family Schedule:
Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.
Program start at 9:00 a.m.
Program ends between 12:50 p.m. & 1:30 p.m.

Some height and weight restrictions apply on certain simulators. Shorts or pants recommended (no skirts). Athletic footwear preferred. Participants should be free of neck and back injuries. Tour may be altered or closed due to operational requirements.
